This AUP incorporates: (i) US: NCMEC CyberTipline reporting obligation (18 U.S.C. §2258A); 47 U.S.C. §230 and 17 U.S.C. §512 disclaimers; (ii) UAE: Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes (content-related offences, fake-news offences, public-morals offences and obscenity — all strictly prohibited below); Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright; Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021 (Penal Code); UAE Media Regulatory Office content standards. Counsel must reconcile with the final sub-processor AUPs (fal.ai, OpenAI- compatible LLM, ElevenLabs, AWS / Cloudflare).

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs what you may and may not do with the KidsStory Service. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Any capitalised term not defined here has the meaning given in the Terms.

1. General principle

The Service creates personalised stories for children. Every piece of content uploaded or generated must be appropriate for that context and compliant with US federal and applicable state law.

2. Absolutely prohibited — zero tolerance

You MUST NOT use the Service to upload, generate, request, store, distribute, or attempt to elicit any of the following. Detection triggers immediate account suspension, permanent ban, forfeiture of Tokens, and, where applicable, reports to:

• the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC CyberTipline) as required by 18 U.S.C. §2258A, for any content involving child sexual abuse material;
• the UAE authorities (UAE Cyber Security Council / Public Prosecution) for offences under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes — including, without limitation, dissemination of pornographic material, content contrary to public morals, content that "incites sedition" or threatens public order, and offences against the security and privacy of individuals;
• any other competent law enforcement in the relevant jurisdiction.

1. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any sexualisation of minors, including "suggestive" imagery, implied nudity, or text describing sexual activity involving persons under 18.
2. Non-consensual intimate imagery of any person, including deep-faked or AI-composited nudity ("deepfakes").
3. Photographs of a child who is not yours without the verifiable consent of the child's parent or legal guardian. You represent and warrant under §7 of the Terms that every photograph you upload is of a child over whom you have legal parental authority.
4. Identifiable images of third parties (faces, license plates, documents) if you do not have that person's clear, informed, written consent.
5. Content promoting or depicting violence against a real, identifiable person, including threats, stalking, harassment, doxing, or incitement.
6. Hateful content targeting any individual or group on the basis of race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status.
7. Terrorist or violent-extremist content, including recruitment, glorification, or instructions for attacks.
8. Instructions for weapons of mass destruction (biological, chemical, nuclear, radiological) or for manufacturing firearms, improvised explosives, or malware.
9. Illegal drugs, promotion of the sale thereof, or instructions for manufacture.
10. Self-harm promotion — content that encourages, instructs in, or romanticises suicide, eating disorders, or self-injury.
11. Copyrighted or trademarked characters used in a way that is not fair use (e.g., asking the Service to render a named franchise character such as a Disney / Marvel / Nintendo character). The Service is trained to refuse, but the responsibility to not submit such requests is yours.
12. Impersonation of a real person, living or deceased, in a way likely to deceive.
13. Automated scraping or stress-testing of the Service, including sending requests through automated agents, crawlers, headless browsers at rates above normal human use, or attempts to reverse-engineer the AI pipelines.
14. Circumvention of content safety filters, rate limits, payment controls, or account restrictions.
15. Use for non-family-entertainment commercial purposes — including but not limited to reselling generated content as your own IP, training of competing AI models, or ingestion into a third-party product — without our prior written consent.
16. Content offensive to UAE public morals or public order — including pornographic, indecent or obscene material; material that insults religion or places of worship; material that "prejudices the reputation, prestige or stature of the State, its institutions, its leaders or its symbols" within the meaning of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021; incitement of sectarian discord; or deliberate distribution of false information (so-called "fake news"). These offences are criminal under UAE law regardless of the user's country of residence if the content is stored or processed on infrastructure controlled by YOU BABY STUDIO L.L.C.

3. Requirements when uploading a child's photo

In addition to §2 you MUST:

• Be the child's parent or legal guardian.
• Upload a clear, non-sexualised photo. Bathing, swimwear, and similar everyday-life photos are acceptable; fully clothed, face-visible portraits are strongly preferred to maximise output quality.
• Upload a photo you own — do not upload photos taken by other photographers without the right to do so.
• Not include other children (or any adults other than yourself) in the frame unless their parent / guardian has given written consent.
• Accept the in-product Photo Consent before upload.

4. Responsibility for generated output

• Generated PDFs and videos are for personal, family use. Review the output before showing it to the child.
• We may, but do not undertake to, pre-scan generated output for problematic content; AI safety filters are not perfect.
• If a generation produces something you consider inappropriate, click "Report" in the reader view or email [SUPPORT_EMAIL]. Reported outputs are reviewed within 48 hours.

5. Our enforcement rights

We may, at our reasonable discretion and without prior notice:

• Refuse or interrupt a generation that our safety systems flag;
• Remove generated assets from your account if they are found to violate this AUP;
• Suspend your account pending investigation;
• Terminate your account and refuse future service, with or without a refund, depending on the nature of the violation;
• Preserve relevant information and disclose it to law enforcement where required by law.

Nothing in this AUP obliges us to pre-screen User Content; we disclaim any duty to monitor beyond what is technically feasible and legally required.

6. Reporting abuse

To report:

• Child sexual abuse material: contact the NCMEC CyberTipline directly at https://report.cybertip.org. Also notify [SUPPORT_EMAIL] so we can act on our end.
• Copyright infringement: follow the procedure in the DMCA Policy.
• Other violations: [SUPPORT_EMAIL].

Include the URL or order ID, the nature of the violation, your contact information, and, if applicable, evidence of the violation.

7. 47 U.S.C. §230 and §512

User Content is supplied by you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without limiting the protections of 47 U.S.C. §230 and 17 U.S.C. §512, KidsStory is not liable for User Content; enforcement decisions under this AUP are made in good faith.

8. Changes to this AUP

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes are notified to account holders at least 7 days before they take effect.
